Albino Squirrel in Ohio!
We have a rare albino grey squirrel in our neighborhood! There are white squirrels, and then there are albinos. These photos were taken on an overcast evening with a zoom lens, so you can't really tell, but witnesses who saw him earlier say he has pink eyes. You can see a dark pinkish tint in the last photo. We also think he is a male, though a young one...not sure his voice has changed, hehe. Hope you enjoy these pics of this impossibly cute critter!

so handsome!
He is a striking fellow. His albinism does not seem to have disadvantaged him too much so far. I went to school with an albino boy and he had pink eyes.
Our Brevard white squirrels are different from your sweet albino. Ours are a mutated variant of gray squirrels. They breed with the gray squirrels and at the 2010 count, white squirrels made up 37% of the squirrel population in town.
I'm not fond of squirrels, but even I have to admit your white one is gorgeous. So white it looks like he's been to the groomer.
