Stalking Bovidae

When we visit our fathers, The Bug can be assured of three things: there will be a wee bit of family drama, I will spend a lot of time at her father's house alternately taking pics of birds or sleeping off stress; and there will be pictures of sheep! And cows...and the occasional non-bovidae:

Blue Jay at the memorial birdbath...
 Sheep!
 They stare at me...

 More sheep!
 See?
A great Great Pyr, guarding the flock

Don't you even think about messing with my lambies!

Hmmmm...about time for another nap...as soon as that man leaves...

My ancestral homeland in the background...the South Fork River valley
 Sheep, staring...
 At me...
 And cows!
 Well, you know...
Uninterested ass...
Random dog...
 And turkeys!

These are great picks and I thank you for sharing them. NC looks like Canada will, come late April. I will try to get out and visit a farm here north of the city then, for comparison. Thanks for sharing your beautiful farm heritage sight.

Some time you should try serenading the cows with a trombone. I hear they will walk right over and listen to the concert intently. Better yet you might try bagpipes.

I loved them all. So many colors of sheep. And the wonderful dog guarding them. He must get pretty hot in those foothills summers, though.

Now...about the wee bit of family drama.
