Still Breathing

I am basking just now, risking an open door, trusting sunlight radiant to keep the cold at bay.  I know the clouds are coming back, the rain, the snow.  But for today the door is open, the sun is shining, and I am breathing in the light.

Keep Breathing

 by Ingrid Michaelson

The storm is coming but I don't mind
People are dying, I close my blinds

All that I know is I'm breathing now

I want to change the world
Instead I sleep
I want to believe in more than you and me

But all that I know is I'm breathing
All I can do is keep breathing
All we can do is keep breathing now

All that I know is I'm breathing
All I can do is keep breathing
All we can do is keep breathing

All we can do is keep breathing
All we can do is keep breathing
All we can do is keep breathing
All we can do is keep breathing
All we can do is keep breathing now

I love that song! And yes, the sun is a welcome sight today.

It was a glorious weekend here too... 68 degrees on Saturday with sunny skies. We had the screen doors open too, just for a bit. Oh, it was magical!

For a second, I thought that was your head just above the surface of the water! But that is the key for breathing. ;^)

@Argent...you are most welcome!
@Jayne...not exactly 68 degrees in Ohio yesterday, but when the sun hits the front of our house, it doesn't matter how cold it is in the shade :-)
@Tess...LOL! Yes, that is the key for breathing, but no, I was not bathing in the rather icy Great Miami. The pic, featuring a majestic blue heron, was taken just south of Hamilton, OH. We stopped by the river a few weeks ago after an expedition to Jungle Jim's.

I think breathing in the light is the best thing we can possibly do.
