Autumn Sunflowers

Every year the Tecumseh Land Trust plants a field of sunflowers just north of the town of Yellow Springs, timed to peak as our autumn colors and apple production peak. So people can come to enjoy the flowers, cross the road to get a fresh-squeezed cup of cider, buy a pumpkin, etc. It is an Autumn tradition for those of us who live in these parts! Enjoy:

Another annual scene at Peifer's
And our current crescent moon!

Enjoy your Autumn, wherever it may find you! The sunflower pics are from the last two weeks, the moon from last night (Oct. 15. I accentuated the post with our old flag and a couple of pics from past trips to Peifer Orchard. And of course if you are in the neighborhood, you MUST go to Young's Jersey Dairy for awesome ice cream and farm fun!
Oh those Jersey girls! The cutest!

I do love those fields of sunflowers. So wonderful to see them all united and facing in the same direction. We humans could learn a lesson from them.
